Abstrait:

The paper presents basic information about Structural Health Monitoring systems implemented and planned for Polish bridges in the context of their advantages and faults. In the first part there is presented classification of all mesurement technologies applied in such systems, which are dedicated for static tests, dynamic testes and also for systematic control. In tabulated form there is presented classification of kind of monitoring systems with possible controlled values, frequency of measurements, measured process types and applied data transmission solutions. In tables there are also presented expected results in static and dynamic monitoring in dependence of different actions and, finally, applications of these results in bridge engineering analysis. There is also given list of possible application of SHM systems in dependence of different stages of construction and exploitation of bridges. The second part of paper presents some examples of Polish long span bridges with implemented and planned SHM systems with some observation, which can be useful for SHM designers and decision-makers.
